Randomized Controlled Trials
Research gap analysis derived from 2 medicine papers in our local library.
The gap
There is a need for large-scale, well-designed randomized controlled trials to validate findings and establish clinical efficacy of various interventions in diverse medical fields.
Consensus across the literature
The papers collectively leave open the need for rigorous clinical validation through RCTs.

No single lateral extra-articular tenodesis technique has been demonstrated as clinically superior, yet direct biomechanical and clinical comparison studies between specific LET constructs (ALL reconstruction vs. LEAP vs. ALLR) with matched patient populations and identical outcome metrics are absent. Head-to-head randomized controlled trials comparing different graft materials and fixation methods are needed.
