Nothing inside the research-gap tool is sold separately. Journal Finder and Pre-Check cost 15 credits each per run. Used on their own, away from a gap topic, a research proposal costs 10 and a Pro Report 25. The Citation Generator and Graphical Abstract Maker cost nothing. New accounts start with 25 welcome credits.

Research gap search is free with an account — the field overview, a comparison table with the closest papers in its first column, and one list of every paper the search found, which you can filter, sort and download as RIS or BibTeX, cost no credits. The Citation Generator and Graphical Abstract Maker cost nothing and need no account. Every new account also starts with 25 welcome credits — enough for one run of the Journal Finder or Pre-Check. Unlocking one research-gap topic is 50 credits; a referral adds 25 credits to each side, so 25 + 25 covers exactly one topic without a checkout.

Because the gaps, the proposal and the Pro Report are all computed from the rows the fill has just written for your topic — there is no second search and no second pass over a different corpus to charge for. Charging again for something derived from what you already bought would be charging twice. So one topic is 50 credits and comes as one package: the filled table, the cross-paper synthesis, the gaps, the research proposal and one Pro Report run, with re-generating the proposal and re-downloading the files free afterwards.

No. Credits are sold in one-time packs of 50, with no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. You buy a pack when you need one, and the credits stay on your balance until you spend them.

Yes. Credits you buy never expire — they stay on your balance until you use them.

Unused credits from a pack you bought may be refunded within about 14 days of purchase, at the discretion of the operator and Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record); a partial refund can cover the unused part of a pack. Spent credits, and welcome or promotional credits, are not refundable. If a run fails because of a fault on our side, we re-credit it or refund it. The full terms are on our Refund Policy page.

Not yet. A journal publication route is planned and is not open for submissions; today every credit buys a tool run. AI Review (30 credits) gives you an editor-ready report to take to the journal you choose, and the Journal Finder (15 credits) helps you choose it.
