The Top / Mid / Open-Emerging probabilities are estimated from where the most similar papers in the 4.5M-paper local library were published, scaled by per-field acceptance-rate anchors. It is a fast triage signal from your title and abstract, not a guarantee — an editor's decision depends on the full manuscript — and we have not published a measured accuracy for it. When too few of the similar papers sit in journals on our curated tier list, the odds are rougher: they lean on the Scimago quartiles of the journals those papers appeared in or, failing that, on the field's base acceptance rates. It ranks a 17,500-venue index by how well your abstract matches each journal's recent papers, and shows match score, open-access status, a citation rate, and similar published papers. The index deliberately includes regional and Turkish TR-Dizin venues alongside the big names, so the shortlist isn't only elite journals. On a benchmark of 46 real papers, the true publishing venue appeared in the top 5 for 54.3% of papers and in the top 10 for 67.4%; per-field results, with 4 to 9 papers per field, are on the benchmarks page.
