To further optimize near-peer education, institutions may consider standardized peer teaching, implementing dedi- cated tutoring office hours, and expanding SI to include board-style review sessions. Prospective, mixed-methods evaluations could assess not only performance outcomes but also student confidence, sense of belonging, and perceived preparedness for clerkships. Additionally, longitudinal fol- low-up would help determine whether early participation in NPT influences later clinical performance or teaching competence.
