While the study provides insights into cultivation decision dynamics, several limitations should be noted. Data were based on observational surveys, which may be subject to recall or reporting bias. This study is descriptive in nature, and the regression models capture conditional associations rather than causal relationships, as not all confound- ing factors could be controlled for. Causal inferences are limited, particularly regarding declines in participation among experienced farmers.
