Current methods for quantum computing can suffer from non-convergence to the global minimum due to local minima
Research gap analysis derived from 3 physics papers in our local library.
The gap
Current methods for quantum computing can suffer from non-convergence to the global minimum due to local minima, critical slowing down, or exponential resource scaling. There is a need for a method that can provide convergence guarantees without critical slowing down. Quantum imaginary time evolution is proposed to fill this gap.
