Ways to build it into a lab's workflow
The tools fit the points in a paper's life where a lab loses the most time:
- Pre-submission QA: every manuscript from the lab goes through our scorer before it goes to a closed journal.
- Student paper review gate: a student cannot have a paper signed off until it passes a minimum score.
- Rapid methodology audit: quickly check whether a methodology section in a collaborator's paper is missing anything before you co-author.
- Prior-publication scan: search 7 public databases plus our 4.5M-paper library to make sure a new preprint does not duplicate yours.
- Scoping the next paper: search a topic free and get the field overview and the closest papers, queried live from OpenAlex and from a 4.5M-paper local library. Unlocking the topic compares those papers field by field and writes the open research gaps from that comparison — mined from the local library, not from a web-scale index.
- Publication route (in preparation): non-flagship work — methods notes, negative results, reproducibility reports — is the intended fit when the route opens. It is not accepting submissions yet.
What it costs, and what it will not
The tools are pay-as-you-go in credits, with no subscription: AI Review is 30 credits per manuscript, Pre-Check 15 and the Journal Finder 15; searching for research gaps is free, and unlocking one topic is 50. A free account starts with 25 welcome credits, and credits never expire.
Our publication route is still in preparation. When it opens, every accepted paper is planned to be CC BY 4.0 open access with no reader paywall, and any author fee will be stated then.
What we can't do for you
We are honest about this — claiming otherwise damages the case for AI-assisted review.
- We cannot replace your judgement on research directions.
- We cannot make a bad idea look good. The agents will find the hole.
- We cannot match the depth of a top reviewer in your exact sub-sub-field.
- We cannot give your paper the name-brand prestige of a century-old journal — that still comes from publishing there. Our tools help you get the manuscript ready for it.
