Refund Policy
How refunds work for one-time credit purchases.

1. One-Time Credit Purchases
Science AI Journal sells one-time, non-subscription credit packs. Credits are added to your account balance immediately after payment and do not expire. This policy explains when a purchase is eligible for a refund.
2. Digital Content & the Withdrawal Right
If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with a similar statutory right, you may ordinarily have a 14-day withdrawal ("cooling-off") right on online purchases of digital content.
Because credits are provisioned to your account immediately so you can use them right away, at checkout you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content (your credits) and acknowledge that this consent waives your withdrawal right once delivery has begun. In practice this means: once credits from a purchase have been spent, the withdrawal right no longer applies to the spent portion, because the service has already been performed.
This waiver does not remove your other statutory consumer rights, and does not affect the unused-credit refund window described below.
3. Unused Credits
If you purchased a credit pack and have not spent the credits (in whole or in part), the unused portion may be eligible for a refund within a reasonable window after purchase — generally 14 days — at the discretion of the operator and Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Refund requests outside this window, or for accounts showing signs of abuse, may be declined.
Partial refunds may be issued for the unused portion of a pack where some credits have already been spent.
4. Used / Spent Credits
Credits that have already been spent on a completed tool run (for example, a delivered AI review, a completed Article Writer session, a research-gap search, a journal recommendation, or a pre-submission check) are non-refundable. The service was rendered as requested, and the immediate-delivery consent described above applies to that consumption.
If a paid tool run failed to complete or produced no usable output due to a technical error on our side, contact support — we will investigate and, where our system is at fault, re-credit the amount spent or issue a refund at our discretion.
5. Free & Promotional Credits
Welcome credits and any other free or promotional credits have no cash value and are not refundable or exchangeable, since no payment was made for them.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Approved refunds are issued by Dodo Payments back to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Refunding a purchase will deduct the corresponding unspent credits from your account balance.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and the date of purchase. We aim to respond within a few business days.
8. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — most billing questions can be resolved directly and faster this way. Unwarranted chargebacks on spent credits may result in account suspension pending resolution.
