- Resilience and risk perception in water scarcity: an analysis from Bourdieu's theory (2026) · Frontiers in Water · doi
Longitudinal research could provide deeper insights into how perceptions and coping practices evolve during prolonged droughts or periods of water rationing - Future studies could incorporate additional indicators related to income, assets, housing infrastructure, or access to private water systems to better capture these dynamics - Future research could explore how interactions between households, water utilities, and policymakers shape governance outcomes across different institutional settings - Comparative studies across cities experiencing water stress would be particularly valuable for understanding how governance structures influence the relationship between social inequality and water resilience - further research could examine how different forms of capital interact within the broader field of water governance, particularly by exploring the role of institutional actors, policy frameworks, and infrastructure investments in shaping adaptive capacity across urban populations
