The current ability of early warning systems to provide adequate warnings for extreme weather events, including compound events, is limited. Impact forecasting in a multi-hazard context is essential but faces challenges. There is a need for new data and modeling needs to incorporate risks from compound events.

Further study is needed to investigate the response of MCSs to global warming in other regions. More research is needed to develop more effective early warning systems for extreme rainfall events. Additional work is required to investigate the impacts of climate change on MCSs and their associated hazards.
