  • The composition of magmatic-hydrothermal fluids and their related metal mineralization (2024) · Science China Earth Sciences · cited 54× · doi

Fluid inclusions trapped in high-temperature minerals formed during the early stage of a magmatic hydrothermal system record the initial fluid information before miner- alization, and their compositions can be used to clarify whether the metals have been already significantly enriched in the magmatic stage before fluid exsolution. Based on the compiled fluid inclusion data, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) the Cu-, Sn- and W-mineralized fluids are significantly more enriched in Cu, Sn and W, respectively, implying an enrichment of these metals in the magmatic stage, and such a pre-enrichment could occur in the source region and/or during the evolution; (2) the Mo-mineralized fluids share similar Mo concentrations with those Mo-un- mineralized hydrothermal systems, indicating no significant pre-enriched Mo in the source rocks and/or during the magmatic evolution, and that a large volume of parental magmas is essential in the formation of a large Mo deposit as revealed in recent studies; (3) the Zn-Pb and Fe concentra- tions in most magmatic hydrothermal fluids are generally very high, but only a few of them result in effective miner- 220 Shu Q & Deng J

  • Influence of different tectonic settings on fracture formation and fluid flow around upper-crustal magmatic intrusion: insights from numerical modelling (2024) · Earth Science Informatics · cited 5× · doi

Given that the analysis of the shallow metallogenic dynamic processes at the upper-crust scale is insufficient, especially the ore-bearing fracture formation and fluid-focusing mechanism around the mineralizing magmatic intrusion under different tectonic backgrounds, we aimed to study how tectonic settings influence fracture formation and fluid hydrodynamics in and around a hot intrusion.
