The lack of understanding of the mediating role of supply chain integration in the relationship

Research gap analysis derived from 3 economics papers in our local library.

The gap

The lack of understanding of the mediating role of supply chain integration in the relationship between digital transformation and supply chain resilience. The need for empirical evidence on the impact of digital transformation on supply chain resilience. The gap in understanding the moderating effect of environmental uncertainty and enterprise risk-taking level on this relationship.

  • Utilizing digital technology to achieve stable agricultural production: empirical analysis of the supply chain resilience of agricultural-related enterprises (2026) · Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems · cited 3× · doi

The theoretical contributions of this study are as follows: (1) by constructing and testing a two-dimensional analysis framework it has deepened the research on for resilience and recovery, supply chain resilience from the perspective of “whether it is effective” to “how to differentiate effectiveness,” providing a more detailed micro-foundation for the theory of digital supply chains. (2) By combining the resource-based view and institutional logic to conduct an in-depth analysis of heterogeneity, it reveals the logic behind the technology organizational and environmental empowerment effect, enriching the application of the theory of technology adoption and organizational adaptation in the agricultural field. This study also has some limitations, which point out the direction for future research: (1) this study only uses the comprehensive concept of DTI. However, digital technologies can be classified into different categories such as task execution and decision optimization. Different digital technologies, such as AI and blockchain, may have more nuanced differences in their impact on various dimensions of resilience. Future research can conduct more in-depth technical decomposition studies. (2) The measurement of supply chain resilience in this study is still mainly based on low- frequency annual financial data. Future research could combine
