  i. The government at all levels in Nigeria should take it as matter of urgency to yield to addressing issues relating to erosion especially gully erosion at an early stage so as to avoid loss of lives of Nigerian people and their properties. More awareness be created on proper management and maintenance of drainage channels/culverts within the study area. Additionally, penalty should also be issued for poor management of drainage through dumping of refuse into the channel. ii. Lastly, individuals should be discouraged from building houses across areas that are prone to soil erosion. This will help to reduce the incidence of exposure of building foundations. Government can achieve this through formulation of bye laws and policies that will act as a guide to the use and misuse of land uses. If all the above raised suggestions are adhered to, it is believed that the havoc done by gully erosion in Nasarawa South in North central Nigeria, would be eliminated or better still, prevented in order to ensure the security of our Natural resource as well as achieve optimum agricultural productivity from it.
