PAI teachers are encouraged to develop structured TikTok content for procedural Islamic topics, accompanied by in-class guidance. Students should be supported in developing digital literacy to distinguish educational from entertainment content (Firamadhina & Krisnani, 2021). Future research should employ control-group designs, larger samples across multiple schools (Amin, Garancang & Abunawas, 2023), and longitudinal assessment to investigate the durability of learning gains and the internalisation of religious practice (Bangun et al., 2024). Member checking involved presenting preliminary findings to key informants to allow them to offer corrections. This validation mechanism maintained research integrity and enhanced the participants’ trust in the research process. This approach aligns with contemporary qualitative research standards. The data analysis process began once validity was confirmed. Analysis followed an interactive model consisting of three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. 23 In the reduction stage, data were categorized thematically according to the research focus. Next, the data were displayed in matrices, diagrams, or visual narratives to clarify emerging patterns. Verification was conducted through triangulation and member checking to ensure that the analysis results were valid and logically accountable.24 In addition to analytical techniques, research ethics were a primary concern. The researcher obtained official permission from the madrasah and provided informed consent to the participants. 25 All data in the study report were anonymised, and participant identities were kept private. During observations and interviews, the researcher employed a participatory-reflective approach, actively participating in the field but keeping an analytical distance. Given the study atmosphere, which included both religious and educational principles, this strategy was especially crucial.

is recommended to involve larger samples, conduct comparative studies across multiple pesantren, or integrate quantitative and qualitative approaches to explore policy implementation dynamics more comprehensively. Further studies may also examine the relationship between Qur’an-based disciplinary policies and other variables, such as pesantren organizational culture, teachers’ leadership, or the long-term sustainability of students’ behavioral change. In conclusion, this study affirms that character education grounded in Qur’anic interpretation has significant potential to be operationally implemented through pesantren disciplinary policies. When such policies are consistently designed and enacted on the basis of Qur’anic values, disciplinary regulations function not merely as instruments of control, but as effective tools of Islamic educational management in fostering holistic character development among students. This study is limited to one Islamic boarding school and uses qualitative data from observation, interviews, and documentation. Therefore, the findings are context-specific and should not be generalized statistically to all pesantren. The study also does not measure students' public speaking competence quantitatively before and after participation, nor does it analyze actual digital da'wah content produced by students on social media platforms. Future studies may use mixed-methods designs, oral presentation rubrics, video-based performance analysis, digital portfolio assessment, or comparative studies across several pesantren to examine how face-to-face muhadaroh training transfers into recorded sermons, livestreams, podcasts, and social media-based religious communication.

Based on these conclusions, this study recommends: (1) The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs needs to revise the Islamic Religious Education teacher competency standards to explicitly include innovative and digital learning competencies; (2) The Islamic Religious Education Professional Education Program (PPG) needs to integrate deep learning modules as part of the compulsory curriculum; (3) Schools and madrasas need to develop a culture of professional collaboration (Professional Learning Community) among Islamic Religious Education teachers to share good practices; (4) Longitudinal research with a quasi-experimental design is needed to measure the long-term impact of deep learning implementation on the formation of students' character and spirituality; and (5) The development of assessment instruments that can measure the deep learning dimensions in Islamic Religious Education comprehensively, not only the cognitive dimension, needs to be prioritized. 6.
