Although the ultrastructural alterations of the parasite were successfully examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), further stud- ies are still required to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Dendronephthyla sp. extract under in vivo conditions. Toxicological assessment on the host organism is also recommended before considering potential therapeutic applications.
