Based on the findings, healthcare institutions are encouraged to strengthen psychosocial support services for patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis through counseling, patient and family education, peer support initiatives, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Future qualitative studies involving larger and more diverse populations are recommended to further explore the psychosocial experiences of individuals receiving long-term hemodialysis. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS The researchers express their sincere gratitude to the dialysis patients who generously shared their experiences, the hospital administration for supporting the conduct of the study, and St. Bernadette of Lourdes College for its guidance throughout the research process. • Understanding the Challenges of Life – Sustaining Treatment Decisions among Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan (2026) · International Journal of Nursing, Healthcare and Hospital Administration · doi

The recommendations emphasize holistic, patient-centered CKD care that integrates medical, nutritional, psychosocial, and spiritual support while addressing lived experiences. Counseling, support groups, and education programs should strengthen resilience, autonomy, and adherence. Family engagement must balance patient independence with cultural values, supported by provider training in sensitive communication. Institutions and hospital administrators are urged to adopt flexible, ethical protocols aligned with DOH standards, while healthcare teams deliver clear, whole-person care. Future researchers should explore resilience, autonomy, and family-centered decision-making using larger, diverse samples and long-term studies. https://epublications.myeduheart.com/index.php/ijnhha/index E-ISSN: 3116-5974 P-ISSN: 3116-5966 169 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who contributed to this study. Based on the findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations are suggested: Healthcare professionals should strengthen peer support, self-care, and continuous professional development to enhance service quality and well-being. Policymakers and health administrators should invest in adequate staffing, resources, transportation, and psychosocial support to improve the delivery of prenatal care in rural communities. Community members should actively participate in prenatal care and collaborate with healthcare providers to improve maternal outcomes. Academic institutions should integrate these findings into health education and encourage further research on rural maternal healthcare, provider well-being, and intervention strategies that improve prenatal care services. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS I sincerely thank everyone who supported and contributed to this research. I’m especially grateful to my colleagues and friends for their encouragement and valuable feedback, and to my families for their love, patience, and unwavering support throughout this journey. Their guidance and encouragement made this study possible. AI DECLARATION STATEMENT AI-supported tools helped with grammar and structure in creating this article.
