  The Community-centred Indigenous Knowledge Digitalisation Framework proposed in this study provides a foundation for future scholarly inquiry. Further research should evaluate the applicability of the framework across different Indigenous communities, agricultural systems and cultural contexts within Africa and internationally. Comparative studies could examine how the framework functions in diverse Indigenous knowledge domains, including traditional medicine, biodiversity conservation, Indigenous environmental management and cultural heritage preservation. Future studies should further investigate the role of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, immersive digital heritage platforms and community-based digital archives, while ensuring that technological innovation remains firmly grounded in Indigenous Data Sovereignty, ethical governance and community self-determination. Through such research, the CIKDF can continue to evolve as both a conceptual framework and a practical model for advancing ethical, community-centred digitalisation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems in Africa and beyond.
