This study mainly focuses on the heat stress response of the VISI gene. However, this response has a complex gene network, including HsfA1/HsfA2 transcriptional factors, which are responsible for regulation in stress conditions. Absence of co-expression analysis, unexplored promoter and 5′ UTR regions, and haplotype frequency analysis need fur- ther exploration for a comprehensive understanding of heat stress response. In the future, by incorporating these gaps, a complete understanding of heat stress adaptation mecha- nisms can be provided.
