Finally, interviews were conducted during COVID-19 restrictions in Australia, which may have shaped both gambling behaviour and AO coping strategies in ways that differ from non-pandemic condi- tions. However, interviewees often drew on experiences that extended beyond the immedi- ate pandemic context, suggesting that many of the themes identified are likely to remain relevant outside this period.
