  • It is recommended that polytechnic libraries in Nigeria should consider adopting a subject divisional approach. As a start, subject area should be assigned to librarians taking into consideration their academic backgrounds and interests. Members of staff assigned subject areas could be consulted by the reader services librarian on any enquiries pertaining to a particular subject field which he or she was unable to satisfy user needs.
