  • As the field of urology looks towards the future of transitional care, a number of areas should be prioritized. Most fundamentally, out- comes research pertaining to specific pathologies and clinical mod- els is needed. Urologists must also advocate for increased funding for research as well as training opportunities so that future genera- tions of providers both understand transitional urology care and can carry on the work of its improvement. In this drive to improve care, patient populations who lack access to transitional urological care must not be forgotten by exploring the role that digital health and other, de-centralized transitional urology care models can have.
