Combined experimental and theoretical investigation of the (benzoimidazol-2-yl)-methanone ligand and its Ru(III) complex: structural elucidation, stability determination, corrosion inhibition, energy storage and bioactivity applications · 2026 · DOI1. Beside Sulphuric acid, corrosion studies can also be con- ducted in other acidic or alkaline environment such as HCl, HNO3, NaCl etc. 2. We performed electrochemical studies at room tempera- ture; however studied at elevated temperature can also be conducted to calculate thermodynamic parameters. 3. The presence of multiple phytochemicals makes it chal- lenging to determine the individual compounds contrib- uting to corrosion inhibition. 4. Change in extraction condition may influence the repro- ducibility of the inhibition performance. 5. Due to scheduling and equipment limitations during experimentation, the SEM micrographs shown in this work were obtained at somewhat varying magnifica- tions. While it is evident that unrestrained and inhibited surfaces differ qualitatively, equivalent magnification imaging would provide a more thorough morphological comparison. To support morphological evaluation, future research will incorporate quantitative surface characteri- sation whenever feasible and SEM analysis at consistent magnifications. 6. The direct identification of specific active phytoconstitu- ents is limited by the lack of chromatographic charac- terization (HPLC, GC–MS). Chromatographic profiling will be the main focus of future research to determine the links between structure and performance. 7. Graphical origin, harvesting conditions, and extrac- tion settings can all affect the phytochemical makeup of plant extracts. In order to increase reproducibility, future research will concentrate on controlled cultiva- tion and sophisticated phytochemical characterization, even though this study employed standardized extraction conditions.
