  • We acknowledge certain limitations in this study, particu- larly regarding sample size and site management. Only three sites were surveyed in low disturbance areas, four in mod- erate disturbance areas, and five in high disturbance areas. While temporal replication was included to enhance statisti- cal power, the limited number of sites and unbalanced design may reduce the ability to detect clear spatial patterns, espe- cially for certain taxonomic groups. Additionally, although all study sites were planted with pollinator-friendly plants, differences in local management practices, especially weed management, may have influenced pollinator presence and activity independently of land-use intensity. Also, the use of literature-derived values for bee body size may limit the general application of the study, as bee body size may vary remarkably across landscapes. As a result, some observed patterns, such as a lack of significant effects for certain taxa, may reflect the constrained spatial scope or unmeasured site- specific factors rather than true ecological patterns. Despite these limitations, we believe that our mixed modelling ana- lytical approach, which includes sites as a random variable accounts for site-level variability and reduces the potential biases in estimating land use effects. We therefore believe our study provides valuable information about the effect of urban development on pollinator functional diversity. How- ever, we highlight the need for broader-scale research with more balanced spatial replications.
