Guiding principles for the integration of smartboards in Grade 12 classrooms at a Soshanguve secondary school · 2026 · DOINotwithstanding the favourable findings, a key limitation of the study is the relatively small sample −51 teachers in total (27 in the IG and 24 in the CG)- which naturally restricts the statistical power and the extent to which the results can be generalised. These limitations indicate the need for further research on the long- term impact of the RPO, with larger samples for broader applicability. For example, a documentary analysis of the RPO cycle could provide valu- able information in this regard, highlighting an aspect that warrants further attention in future research.

This was not always possible since the first questionnaire referred to ERT during the first lockdown period (March–May 2020) when all schools in the three coun- tries were closed. However, the second questionnaire, administered in June 2021, referred to the school year after the first lockdown period (Sept 2020-June 2021) in which the situation at schools varied from full school closure to alternating online and face-to-face teaching and to hybrid teaching due to student absence. Therefore, we adapted items and constructed new items that better captured the new situation. Table 1 provides an overview of the items for the second questionnaire and their cor- respondence to the three perspectives. If an item addresses multiple perspectives, an upper-case X indicates the main perspective. As item types, we used multiple-choice, multiple-response, Likert-type items and slider bars. Items referring to teachers’ confi- dence had a 0–100 scale format, as recommended by Bandura (2006). We designed the questionnaire in English and translated it into German and Dutch. Although Dutch is spoken in the Netherlands as well as in Flanders, the questionnaire was localized according to differences in available technology, in commonly used vocabulary, et cetera. Despite these localizations, we carefully maintained the common meaning of questionnaire items.
Mathematics teacher change in times of disruption: a longitudinal large-scale study across three countries · 2026 · DOIBased on the results achieved and the limitations of the current study, some future research directions are suggested, including expanding the sample size and geographical scope of survey participants, combining this study with other qualitative or quantitative survey tools such as observation or testing, and exploring the scope of variables or studying specific variables in depth.

Teacher trainers should stay up-to-date with new technologies and multimedia trends, to ensure that they are using the most effective and engaging multimedia content in the classroom.

Abstract While the value of multimodal learning experiences is well articulated in the literature, rich examples of learning experience (LX) design aiming to guide research and practice in authentic school classrooms are currently lacking.
The national upskilling programme data does not disaggregate program participants by geographic region, school district type, or demographic characteristics. Research should examine whether physics teacher upskilling programs equitably reach underrepresented regions or schools with highest physics teacher shortage, and whether training content is adapted to diverse classroom contexts and student populations.
